How do students live in Ukrainian and European dormitories
One of the brightest memories of studying at the university has always been living in a dormitory. It is within the walls of this institution that the turbulent life of most students takes place. Of course, the positive and funny moments of student life overshadow the negative and uncomfortable living conditions in the dormitories of universities in most post-Soviet countries. Together with the educational information portal Where to Enroll, using the example of student dormitories in Ukraine, we will figure out whether the price corresponds to the quality of the conditions provided. And what is the situation in the dormitories of European universities.Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUKiI)
Has several buildings of dormitories. One of them is close to the university, which pleases those students who did not intend to get to the university for a long time. Each section has a shared toilet, shower room and kitchen. Small rooms contain 6-8 people. For space lovers, such tightness will prove to be a test.
The other dormitory building has larger rooms and fewer residents, as well as a shared shower on the ground floor. A student living in this hostel will have to get to the university for more than one hour. Not every student is capable of such feats.
The average price for a room is 500 hryvnia (19 euros). The living conditions are quite standard. It can not do without not repaired furniture, not equipped kitchen, lack of repair and peeling walls.
