She had telephoned him three times but he had left the city. Alan hoped that they had not come yet. I thought that he had not refused to go to the theatre. When he found his purse, somebody had taken money out of it. Had you gotten home before it started raining? Cathy said that she had found this puppy in the street. The room was empty: everybody had gone. They already had left when the trouble started. Why didn't you recognize him?- He had changed a lot. Had Jenny had dinner before mother came? It was my first time I had flown. Martin had gone to the park before you arrived. When he was a teenager, he had studied guitar for two years. He told me he had already paid a fine. The principal was angry when he saw that pupils had not left the classroom yet. When I opened the door, I saw that he looked as if he just woke up. It was his first time he had jumped with a parachute. She had no doubt that I had made a great mistake. It was the second time she had made that mistake. They were surprised when they understood that he had given them a false name.
