Ханты (или хантыйцы) – это народ, проживающий в западной Сибири, в основном в Ханты-Мансийском автономном округе – Югре. Этноним "ханты" происходит от их слова "хәнтә" ("хунтә"), что означает "человек". Ханты traditionally engaged in hunting, fishing, and reindeer herding, and lived in harmony with nature. Their traditional way of life has undergone significant changes due to modernization and industrial development in the region. The language of the Khanty people belongs to the Ob-Ugric group of the Uralic language family. Today, many Khanty people live in urban areas and work in various industries, but efforts are being made to preserve and promote their unique culture and traditions.
