Personally, I do not read summaries instead of real books. I believe that reading the actual text allows for a more authentic and meaningful understanding of the book, as summaries may leave out important details, themes, or character development.

It is possible to get a good grade in Literature by reading summaries, but it may not provide as deep of an understanding or appreciation for the text as reading the actual book. Professors and teachers often look for a thorough analysis and interpretation of the text, which may be better achieved by reading the full book.
