With a scream, Sarah finally broke free from her paralysis and ran as fast as she could, the sound of the figure's footsteps chasing her down the empty street. She could feel its icy breath on her neck, and she knew that if she didn't make it home in time, she would be lost forever to the darkness of Halloween night.

Finally, Sarah reached her front door and slammed it shut behind her, locking it tight. She collapsed on the floor, shaking with fear, as she heard the figure's footsteps fade away into the night.

From that day on, Sarah never ventured out alone on Halloween night again, for she knew that the spirits of the night were always watching, waiting for their next victim to prey upon. And the figure with the white mask and the black void where its face should have been haunted her dreams, a sinister reminder of the darkness that lurks just beyond the edge of our reality.
