NH3 (ammonia) gas is first dissolved in water to form NH4OH (ammonium hydroxide) solution.NH4OH solution is then reacted with sulfuric acid (H2SO4) to form (NH4)2SO4 (ammonium sulfate) solid.Ammonium sulfate is decomposed back into NH3 gas and sulfuric acid, completing the cycle.NH3 gas can also be reacted with nitric acid (HNO3) to form NH4NO3 (ammonium nitrate), which can be used as a fertilizer.
